Gail Miller

Gail Miller is the epitome of a woman who knows how to balance family, business, community and church while still remembering others for their small acts. She knows the responsibility she has to give back to the community… and she does it well.
There are very few women who have done more for the community than Gail Miller. She has been extremely generous with her time and money by supporting health and wellness issues for women and children, and has personally seen that hundreds of young women receive college scholarships so they can have the opportunity to become professional leaders in their fields of choice.
In 1979, The Miller’s purchased Toyota of Murray and renamed it Larry H. Miller Toyota. From its inception as a single dealership operation, Larry and Gail grew their business into one of the largest privately owned companies in the nation.
Gail Miller is the owner of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies and serves as chairman of the organization’s advisory board. She is actively engaged in the various operations of the company, including the administration of the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation. The Larry H. Miller Group of Companies encompasses more than 75 businesses that span 30 states. There are 46 automotive dealerships in seven states. Larry H. Miller is also widely known in the sports and entertainment industries for the NBA Utah Jazz, The Salt Lake Bees (MiLB Triple-A team), the world-renowned Miller Motorsports Park, Fanzz sports retail apparel stores, the EnergySolutions Arena, KJZZ-TV, and the Megaplex movie theatres throughout Utah among other related businesses.
Gail Miller has been a model example of how to deal with the challenges of life, family and helping to balance them all. It was Gail that kept her husband focused on the important things in life and managed to see that each of the children had time with their dad, even if it was take-out dinner in his office.
During the last year of Larry’s life, his health kept him mostly in bed or in the hospital. Gail assumed the responsibility of holding the Larry H. Miller organization and family together. Many said the company would fall, but because Gail knew the organization she was able to pull things together with the help of family and managers, and not only keep the company growing, but sustain it through a tough recession. The company has continued to grow and is currently enjoying record successes.
Gail and her husband, Kim Wilson, enjoy spending time with their family, which combined includes nine children, 30 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to focusing on family and the Miller businesses, Gail finds fulfillment in promoting healthy lifestyle choices and providing civic, church, community and philanthropic service.
